Abstract: A framework for synthesizing Chinese handwriting characters from basic strokes is proposed in this paper. It can record the trajectory and the pressure variations of each written stroke from a tablet. With this information, a handwriting character can therefore be replayed. The framework includes the hierarchical composition of each Chinese character, from basic strokes, compound strokes, radicals, and then to the synthesized character. It is suitable for learning Chinese handwriting characters.
