Abstract: In the paper, we study how to combine GMPLS and optical burst switching (OBS) in an effective way, so that GMPLS can to be a good control plane technology to OBS, and also give the structure of GMPLS-based optical burst switching network. In the paper, it also describes a variety of key technologies, especially in the contention aspect, and gives a new resolution mechanism of data burst contention.
