Abstract: Because of the characters of distribution, different frame and large quantity of the science da- ta, it will need a mass of time and resources to search pitch and visit the science data. It studies joining the metadata technique and directory services to offer directory service of metadata of science resource database and establishes software architecture and directory searching and visiting model of science re- source database sharing platform; By choosing the key metadata element and limiting searching extent, it enhances the efficiency of directory searching, and avoids too much results unrelated to the goal of the user. By setting key field metadata element, it solves the problem that metadata can’t describe the table of relational database in detail. It achieves the effective and speedy sharing of heterogeneous database.
