Abstract: Fingerprint recognition is a safe and reliable identity authentication technology, which ana- lyzes the local characteristics of the fingerprint, extract the detailed feature points from them, compare with the existed information in the fingerprint database, and then confirm personal identity reliably. Nowadays, more and more fingerprint identification systems which apply different technologies appear on the market, such as Bluetooth, wireless etc. However, majorities of them have high power consump- tion and cost, which have caused great inconvenience to the users. In this paper, a wireless fingerprint identification system solution is to be proposed, which has lower cost and high benefits, and satisfy the low transmission rate of Zigbee technique. This solution can greatly reduce the power consumption. The fingerprint signal is safe, quick and reliable in the transmission process. Experiments indicate that it is very suitable for the access control systems and the attendance systems. It will be some good market prospects.
