Abstract: Firstly, it analyzes the scholar Zhang Xue-jun (2009) who proposed an efficient self-certified public key signature from bilinear pairings which does not have strong enforceability. Then a forgery at- tack is presented on the efficient self-certified public key signature from bilinear pairings. The result shows that a dishonest CA can successfully construct self-certified signatures, and then can threat the le- gitimate interests of the signer. For the problem, it presents an improved self-certified signature scheme. An improved scheme is proposed to resist this kind of forgery attack.
