Abstract: Firstly, this passage analyzes the existing access network obstructs the development of IPTV business and its requirements to Bearer Network. It’s found that EPON technology can satisfies IPTV service very well. For an example of a residential project, according to analyzing its Bandwidth requirements of their projects, IPTV addresses divided, VLAN planning and QOS settings, the position and type of the access equipments are analyzed and confirmed, at last the paper proposes a FTTH network scheme based on EPON technology, which meet the users’ business needs.
