Abstract: In this paper, the closed-form expressions of average Signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) at detection in orthogonal spacetime block codes (OSTBCs) are derived for distributed antenna system (DAS) and conventional co-located antenna system (CAS). Through a comparison between DAS and CAS at the same average access distance, we find that DAS has a higher SNR than that of CAS.
