Abstract: With the development of virtual reality and internet techniques, more and more distributed virtual environments are employed. Consistency is one of the fundamental problems in distributed virtual environment, and the control technology of consistency is vital to the fidelity and credibility of the distributed virtual environment. In recent years, control technology of consistency problem in distributed virtual environment is well studied by many researchers. The schemes can be summarized as follows: Local Lag, Dead Reckoning, Time Warp, Lock, Toke, Entity Migration and so on. Based on the above research, this paper analyses the causes and results of inconsistency in distributed virtual environment, and introduces the theory about consistency models of the distributed virtual environment, then makes a contrast on the different characteristics of conservative time-synchronously algorithm and optimistic time-synchronously algorithm, which is to solve consistency problem, finally presents the synchronously algorithm of standards system include DIS and HLA.
