Abstract: |
Ba-M-type barium hexagonal ferrite (BaFe12O19) powders were synthesized by coprecipitation method with barium nitrate and ferric nitrate as starting materials. The effects of coprecipitation pH, sintering temperature and time on the phase of the sample have been studied by TG, XRD and SEM. The results showed that under the conditions of using sodium hydroxide and sodium carbonate as precipitating agent, the coprecipitate pH 14, then calcining precursor for two hours at 850℃, the pure phase ultrafine BaFe12O19 powders can be obtained.
