Abstract: In this paper, research on the heat effect of the LaFe10.92Co0.58Si1.5C0.2 de-icing magnetic material. Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) measurement shows that the Curie temperature of the LaFe10.92Co0.58Si1.5C0.2 compound is TC=284.98K,which is just above the freezing point and is more suitable for de-icing. The heat effect of the compound around 273K was measured with a self-made device under different magnetic fields (H =4750.9, 4257.0, 3563.2, 2969.3 A/M). Results show that LaFe10.92Co0.58Si1.5C0.2 compound is a potential candidate for de-icing.
