Abstract: |
In this paper, the effect of different kinds and levels of additives on the stability and electrochemical properties of vanadium battery V (IV)-V (III) electrolyte were studied. The results show that 0.14 mol/ L, 0.16 mol/ L, 0.18 mol/ L phosphate can play a very good stability for vanadium electrolyte. In addition, 5% glycerol, 3% urea and 5% sodium can also play a certain degree of stability for vanadium electrolyte. The addition of phosphoric acid can increase the conductivity of vanadium electrolyte, and the greater the amount added the higher the conductivity. The greater amount of the glycerol, urea, sodium added, the lower conductivity. But the content of them controling within 3% can increase the conductivity of vanadium electrolyte.
