Abstract: Cerium phosphate micro-nano spheres were synthesized by a hydrothermal method using cerium nitrate and H6P4O13 as the PO4 3- source, without template and surfactant. The as-prepared samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning electron microscope (SEM), and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) measurements. The result showed that dispersive cerium phosphate micro-nano spheres were obtained at 120℃ and pH=1-2. Average particle size of cerium phosphate was about 1μm. The crystal structure of CePO4 depended on the preparation temperature .The hexagonal crystal structure were transformed monazite-type monoclinic cerium phosphate after heat- treat.
