Abstract: 3-dimensional assemblies of urchin-like micro-cancrinite was prepared under hydrothermal conditions of 200℃ with Al(NO3)3?9H2O and Na2SiO3 as original materials in this article, and the effects of sorbitol and NaOH on the structure and morphology of cancrinite was investigated. The structures and morphologies of the products were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscope (SEM), respectively. The result shows that the products are 3-dimensional assemblies of urchin-like micro-cancrinites. The addition of NaOH affects the morphologies of cancrinites mostly. Sorbitol does not affect the structures of the products, but affect the pH value of the system. Therefore, the morphologies of the cancrinites change slightly through changing the assemblies’ units.
