Abstract: The SrLa1-xAlO4:xDy3+ phosphor was synthesized by high temperature solid-state methods. The luminescent properties of the phosphor were investigated. The emission spectrum of SrLa1-xAlO4:xDy3+ phosphor shows several bands at 484 nm, 578 nm and 669 nm under the excitation of the 352nm. The effects of Dy3+ content on the luminescent intensity of 484nm of the phosphor were investigated under the excitation of the 365nm. The result shows that the optimum concentration of Dy3+ in SrLa1-xAlO4 is x=3mol%. The concentration quenching mechanisms are the dipole-dipole interaction.
