Abstract: In this paper, the activation of aluminum to gallium has been investigated using SEM, EDX and the electrochemistry performance testing under certain conditions. The results show that liquid gallium can active aluminum, namely aluminum is activated by gallium when the temperature is more than 29.9 ℃ of the gallium melting. Aluminum activated by liquid gallium reacts to aqueous solution, producing a large number of hydrogen and releases heat. Liquid gallium and aluminum come into being amalgam, aluminum and gallium in the amalgam mutual diffusion, barrier and destruction of dense passivity film formed on the surface, making aluminum has activity equivalent at a state of nudity.
