Abstract: Nano-sized powders were synthesized by hydrothermal method with ZrO(NO3)2·2H2O 、 Y(NO3)3·6H2O and ammonia as raw materials. The phase composition and microstructure of the YSZ powders were investigated by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscope and transmission electron microscopy. The effects of microwave drying and ambient drying on the agglomeration and particle size of YSZ were analyzed. The results show that the reaction time can be reduced at some degree under microwave drying and YSZ nano-powders with less agglomeration can be acquired.
