Abstract: Intelligent Anti-collision System of the automobile is a pop research area of ITS (Intelligent Transport System), and the research on lane detection, which is the key techniques for Intelligent Anti-collision System, does great contribution to safe- driving and even unpiloted driving. In the thesis, we present the lane marking detection. We present a new method called Improved Otsu based on image processing. After that, a new kind of technology to extract and rebuild two dimensional lanes is given based on the improved Hough transform. At last, to meet the information requirement of Automatic Anti-collision System, we focus our attention on the lane marking detection technology which is credible and real-time to satisfy the requirements of the system.
