Abstract: With New Seashore Area of Tianjin City formally incorporated into national development strategies, Tianjin city already received more and more multinational firm’s concern. In 2009, the growth rate of actually utilized foreign capital ranked second in china. The study on the employment effect of foreign direct investment in Tianjin is relatively few. It is necessary to do depth analysis. Begin with the status quo of foreign direct investment in Tianjin, the effect on the employment number and the quality of employment in Tianjin are analyzed. Suggestions to improve the effect are presented on the basis of the relevant analysis. Action should be taken to enlarge the FDI Company to stock domestic material to improve the employment effect of FDI.
