Abstract: Paper-cut animation roots in Chinese folk culture, which is an important part of Chinese animation. The continuous development of modern computer technology has a huge impact on paper-cut animation. This article has analyzed the deficiency of the traditional paper-cut animation methods and the problems confronted with, detailedly explained the new method to make Paper-cut animation and mainly introduced the two advantages when modern computer technology was used into Paper-cut animation: first, Shorten the production cycle; second, Increase the richness of artistic effect. In addition, our country will vigorously develop undertakings and industries cultural in the National Twelfth Five-Year Plan period, which can bring new chance to the paper-cut animation which has the art of national characteristics.
