Abstract: With the development of industrialization, the environment for human living is damaged by pollution, the books and reference materials that the library preserves also unavoidably flee from its damage. This paper discussed an impact of environmental factor over books and reference materials from aspect such as air pollution, ultraviolet radiation, the temperature, humidity, have brought forward some new technique, new method in the countermeasure for removing the environmental factor affects.
