Abstract: This paper introduces an approach to realize the serial communication between PC and MCU by using VB programming language and MODBUS protocol, then applies the approach for the motion control system of the ultrasonic detection of the solder joint. It has been proved by the practice that this approach is very convenient, fast, and efficient. It can meet the functional requirements.
