Abstract: Academic evaluation of teachers is an important way to improve the quality of education and research in universities, which is also an objective requirement for the development of universities. The academic evaluation system is the fundamental system for regulating academic conduct, maintaining academic order and guaranteeing academic quality. This paper analyzes the current development and research of China’s academic evaluation system from the perspective of quantitative evaluation and peer review respectively. Feasible proposals have been put forward in this paper with existing problems and disadvantages taken into concern.
