Abstract: With the rapid worldwide development of Internet, the problems of domain name right are increasingly become the focus of public attention and controversy. Domain name means the alphanumeric numeric string behalf of international Internet numeric address. The right related to domain names is called domain name right. This paper mainly talks about the nature of intellectual property rights of today's IP network domain and makes domain name as a kind of intangible asset with huge commercial as well as economic value, so the representative domain name is often registered rapidly in good faith or bad faith, that is, the conflict between Internet domain name and related rights constantly causes the disputes. This paper combines the laws at home and abroad, against the conflict between the existed domain name right and “prior right”, puts forward a sound solution to better protect the interests of prior rights and promotes the healthy development of Internet.
