A series of coagulation experiments as pretreatment to photographic waste water have been done toget the highest COD removal rate on the condition of different factors such as pH value, temperature, stirmode and force, etc. the optimum experiment factors were performed which were listed as follows: 10 minutescoagulation time, 10 pH value, 2.5% ratio of volume for coagulant dosage, one-stage agitating mixingmode. Through pretreatment process of coagulation, the COD of photographic waste water could reduce 25%approximately to 20000~50000mg/L.
