Abstract: Huainan coalfield is the largest coal resources in East China's coal base, and the environmental impact of the use of Huainan coal attracts more and more attention. In the research of Huainan coal on content and mode of trace elements, you can find good ways to remove harmful elements in coal, and recover useful elements effectively, and then reduce environmental pollution. With the use of neutron activation test method in the Huainan coal samples in the article, 18 kinds of trace elements (except REE) were detected, no abnormal values or partial trace elements and enrichment of the situation were found. Basing on the migration research of the coal washing process, 11 trace elements concluded mainly occurs in minerals and the other seven kinds of trace elements may occur in minerals or be combined with organic matter closely. So wash and removal of them are not an effective manner.
