Abstract: Remote sensing (RS), as a comprehensive detecting technology developed in the 1960s, has become one of water pollution monitoring technical methods, which has received the extensive attention of various countries environmental protection department. As the starting point of water pollution occurring ways, this paper mainly studies the applications of remote sensing in water eutrophication, oil pollution, thermal pollution and waste water pollution.
