Abstract: It is proposed a technique of steel ball surface fault check based on machine vision which applied in Bearing-oriented enterprises. It is tried in this paper to study the fault inspection of steel ball surface using combination between CCD measurement and LabView IMAQ system. This method, which adopts computer image technique to capture steel-ball surface image, utilizes the Gray Value Gradient Searching method to analyze the image signal. It will own benefits of low error rate and the high anti-jamming.
