Abstract: This paper presents an adaptive image interpolation based on the continuity and trend of the pixel data. The proposed adaptive image interpolation method uses of fuzzy adaptive edge enchancement technique, requirements for image interpolation have become more critical. Conventional interpolation methods have a serious blurring problem due to the linear structure [1]. Consequently, the proposed adaptive image interpolation method preserves the detail of the image based on the inverse gradient weighting and slope analysis algorithms. The simulations show the proposed method is superior to both the conventional methods and the fuzzy distance methods [2].
