Abstract: The power limiter is designed by using bias on the PIN diode. Through biasing the PIN diode, the threshold level value of limiter could be changed in order to control the attenuation of input signal level. So it provides more effective protection for receiver. The circuit design based on voltage follower driving the PIN diode shows simple structure and accurate bias voltage adjustment. The simulations of the circuit were completed. In experiment, the reflection coefficient and insertion loss of the limiter under different biasing condition were measured.
