Abstract: MIMO-OFDM (Multiple-Input-Multiple-Output Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) channel estimation method proposed by Qureshi, Zoltowski, and Calderbank in 2009 is modified for the estimation of time varying channels with smaller coherence time. Pairing Golay complementary sequences originally transmitted through multiple consecutive OFDM symbols are placed in adjacent subcarriers of the same OFDM symbol. Simulation shows that the channel estimation accuracy for time varying channels can be improved significantly.
