Abstract: The various traditional vehicle positioning techniques were first analyzed and compared. A new scheme based on VANET, which fuse the multi-Layer and multi-dimensional information (MLMDI) from multi information sources, was proposed in this paper to satisfy the demand of real time and accurate positioning for the blind driving in foggy Highway scenarios. The theoretic Cramér-Rao Lower Bounds (CRLB) of the position estimation errors in our scheme was analyzed in detail which could provide the design direction and theoretic base for the practical applications in the future.
