“2010 国际创新设计与管理高峰论坛暨世界华人设计学术研讨会”于2010 年12 月11 日——2010 年12月13 日在中国北方最具发展潜力的城市——天津隆重召开，会议主题为：“设计&经济&管理&工程，多学科融合下的创新设计”。天津是中国北方重要的工业、经济与文化中心，环渤海经济圈被认为是中国继“珠三角”、“长三角”之后的第三个经济增长极。“晓日三岔口，连樯集万艘”，“东吴转海输粳稻，一夕潮来集万船”，古人的诗句写出了昔日海河两岸汇南北舟车、集八方商贾的万千气象，反映出天津历史上作为中国北方商业大都会的繁华胜景，在今天国家大力建设滨海新区的形式下，在天津召开此次大会有着重要的战略意义。本次大会从策划、立项、论证、调研、启动、推广、学术征文到顺利召开历经14 个月，在此期间得到了国内外许多机构和组织的大力支持。中国教育部学术会议在线、维普资讯、科学网、中国邮政等单位相继成为大会的战略合作伙伴，以多种形式提供支持，共同致力于华人创新事业的发展。
