        包装是商品的重要组成部分,是商品生产中最后一道不可缺少的工序,包装具有商品保护、促销和方便使用的重要功能,和国计民生息息相关。现代包装工业是国民经济的重要组成部分。包装产业的发展状态,从一个侧面反映了国家的经济繁荣与文明程度。改革开放三十年来,中国包装工业持续以高于18%的年增长率迅速发展,从一个产品品种单一、功能简单、技术落后、产量低下的作坊式产业,发展成为一个门类齐全的独立工业体系。据最新权威统计,2009年中国包装工业总产值已超过日本,成为居世界第二位的包装大国。在全国42个主干产业中的排序,也从上世纪后期的末位跃升至目前的第14位。然而,从深层次上分析,和全国经济与社会发展同步腾飞的包装工业,其产能的提升对国外先进设备、高新技术和新材料的依赖性很大,我国目前包装产品的技术含量、自主创新能力、高精设备与材料的国产化,尤其是拥有自主知识产权的核心竞争力和国际包装界的科技影响力,与一些发达国家相比还存在较大的差距。按中国包装工业“十一五”发展规划的要求及今年启动编制的“十二五”规划精神,在较短的时间内实现从“包装大国”向“包装强国”的跨越,是全国包装产业与科技界面临的历史重任。在此宏观背景下,由中国振动工程学会包装动力学专业委员会、中国包装联合会包装工程专业委员会(筹)主办,武汉大学、《包装工程》编辑部等单位承办的《第十三届全国包装工程学术会议》2010年8月21-26日在武汉市隆重召开。大会以“构筑包装产学研用平台,促进包装原创科技发展”为主题,汇聚全国主要包装科研院所、高等院校、部分包装龙头企业以及包装行业管理部门的科技和管理人士,就包装工程学科建设、自主科技创新、产学研用平台等关系到“科技兴包”大业的热点问题,展开互动交流探讨。本届大会共收到涵盖了现代包装工程众多学科领域的论文252篇。经学术委员会三轮评审,227篇论文获会议宣读、交流的资格,并由本论文集(ISTP)收录89篇,并编辑出版。内容涉及:现代包装设计理论与实践(包装力学理论、包装结构设计、运输包装与物流、造型与装潢设计、整体包装设计方案等)14篇,包装新材料研究27篇,包装先进装备及工艺4篇,低碳包装与循环经济5篇,包装印刷新技术20篇,包装现代管理11篇,包装工程教育2篇,包装工程中的其它热点问题6篇。论文集中还收录了6篇大会特邀专家、学者的主题报告。这些论著和导向性报告,代表了中国现代包装领域的最新研究与应用成果,可望在举国建设“包装强国”的伟大进程中,为包装科技自主创新、产学研用发展提供重要的助推力。
