Special Issue on

Late Quaternary Continental Deposits and

Paleoenvironmental Shifts

Continental Deposit refers to deposits formed on land, including continental bodies of wind and water such as lakes and rivers. Deposition occurs when the forces responsible for sediment transportation are no longer sufficient to overcome the forces of particle weight and friction, creating a resistance to motion. Several types of continental deposits includes surface or subaerial deposits, underwater, or subaqueous, deposits, and subglacial deposits which develop under an ice cover. This special issue will be focused on studying different kinds of continental deposit and their applications.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring late quaternary continental deposits and paleoenvironmental shifts. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Depositional systems of continental
  • Economic geology of continental deposit
  • Geochemical characteristics of deposit
  • Process of continental deposit
  • Material source of continental deposit
  • Genetic types of continental deposit
  • Analysis and measurement

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue - Late Quaternary Continental Deposits and Paleoenvironmental Shifts” should be chosen during your submission.

According to the following timetable:

Submission Deadline

May 8th, 2014

Publication Date

July 2014
