Special Issue on Comparative & World Literature


Comparative Literature is an interdisciplinary field that studies literature across national borders, across time periods, across languages, across genres, across boundaries between literature and the other arts, across disciplines. It covers a wide range of literary topics and focuses critical understanding of how cultures differ from one another and what those differences mean. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in the area of Comparative & World Literature.


In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Comparative & World Literature. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:


  • Asia literature
  • America literature
  • Europe literature
  • Russia literature
  • Foreign literature
  • Middle East & North Africa studies
  • Women, gender & sexuality studies
  • Cinema and media studies
  • Film and visual studies
  • Studies of the premodern world
  • Comparative linguistics


Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.


Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Comparative & World Literature” should be selected during your submission.
