Special Issue on Geodesy Research

Geodesy also named geodetics, a branch of applied mathematics and earth sciences, is the scientific discipline that deals with the measurement and representation of the Earth, including its gravitational field, in a three-dimensional time-varying space. Geodesists also study geodynamical phenomena such as crustal motion, tides, and polar motion. For this they design global and national control networks, using space and terrestrial techniques while relying on datums and coordinate systems. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in the area of geodesy research.

In this special issue, we invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles that explore geodesy research. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Geoid and reference ellipsoid
• Coordinate systems in space and in the plane
• Coordinate systems in the plane
• Geodetic data
• Geodetic problems
• Geodetic observational concepts 
• Plate tectonics and earthquake hazard

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue – Geodesy Research” should be chosen during your submission.
