Special Issue on Child Protection and Welfare


Children need a safe and nurturing environment for optimum growth and development. Child protection is the safeguarding of children from various forms of violence, exploitation and abuse, which includes sexual abuse and exploitation, armed violence, trafficking, child labor, gender-based violence, bullying and so on. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in the area of Child Protection and Welfare.


In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Child Protection and Welfare. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:


  • Child labour
  • Child maltreatment
  • Children with disabilities
  • Child trafficking
  • Children in or at risk of poverty
  • Child welfare
  • Child neglect and abuse
  • Child protection assessment
  • Child protective services
  • Unaccompanied children
  • Parental responsibility
  • Rehabilitation and protection policy
  • Mental health treatment
  • Parent and caregiver support
  • Child abuse prevention and treatment


Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.


Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Child Protection and Welfare” should be selected during your submission.
