Special Issue on Climate Change, Sustainable
Development and Disaster Risks
It
is now universally recognized that human-induced climate change could have
major adverse consequences for the world’s ecosystems and societies. Climate
change is caused by the emission of greenhouse gases, which trap long-wave
radiation in the upper atmosphere and consequently raise atmospheric
temperatures. Indeed, attempting to control climate change through global
regulation of emissions alone will not work or could be counterproductive.
Sustainable development is the way forward and can only be led by government
and come through the adoption of institutions which enable people to engage in
activities that generate wealth and lead to technological progress and innovation. The goal of this
special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over
the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in
this area of climate change, sustainable
development and disaster risks.
In this special
issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit
original research and review articles on exploring climate change, sustainable
development and disaster risks. Potential topics include, but
are not limited to:
-
Climate change and sustainable agriculture
-
Climate sustainability and energy
-
Climate sustainability and ecology
-
Climate change and sustainable urban development
-
The impacts of climate change on the risk of natural disasters
-
Climate change and disaster
management
-
Climate change and disaster risk reduction
Authors should read
over the journal’s For Authors carefully before
submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their
complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.
Please kindly specify the “Special Issue”
under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Climate Change, Sustainable Development
and Disaster Risks” should be selected during your
