Special Issue on Corrosion and Protection of Materials
Corrosion is the
deterioration of metals in contact with the specific environment, leading to
relevant effects on asset safety and maintenance. Anti-corrosion research
covers multidisciplinary aspects and addressing the material's performance
challenges in a wide range of industrial sectors, including oil & gas,
aerospace and nuclear. Current projects range from development of new
experimental approaches for material characterization, through mechanistic
understanding of corrosion and inhibition processes, to advancement of
sustainable protective surface treatments and functional coatings. The goal of
this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all
over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and
developments in the area of corrosion
and protection of materials .
In
this special issue, we invite front-line researchers and authors to submit
original research and review articles that explore corrosion and protection of materials. In this special issue,
potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-
Ectrochemical
techniques to study corrosion
-
Localized
corrosion of passive materials
-
Corrosion
of innovative alloys
-
Corrosion
of rebar in concrete
-
Corrosion
in oil and gas industry
-
Corrosion
prevention techniques
-
Thermodynamics

Authors
should read over the journal’s For
Authors carefully before submission.
Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript
through the journal’s Paper
Submission System.
Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special
