Special Issue on Geological Modeling and Its
Application
Geological modeling refers to the mathematical simulation of geological
objects and related engineering activities to reproduce and analyze. The
contents include spatial information management, spatial analysis and
prediction, geo statistics, and graphic visualization. Geological modeling is a
cross discipline involving geology, data / information analysis and
computational science. In the foreseeable future, geological data will be
presented in more multidimensional visual data sets. It will be further studied
in reservoir exploration, engineering geology, mineral exploitation and
structural modeling.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line
researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on
exploring geological modeling and its application.
Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-
3D geological modeling
-
Reservoir
digital simulation
-
Geological
modeling software
-
Geostatistics
and geological modeling
-
Urban
geological modeling
-
Petroleum geological

-
Application of
geological modeling
Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective
authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through
the journal’s Paper Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue”
under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field
“Special Issue – Geological Modeling
and Its Application” should be chosen during your submission.
