Special Issue on Philosophy of Science
Philosophy of science is concerned with the foundations, methods, and implications of science.
The central questions of this study concern what qualifies as science, the
reliability of scientific theories, and the ultimate purpose of science. This
discipline overlaps with metaphysics, ontology, and epistemology, for example,
when it explores the relationship between science and truth.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line
researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on philosophy of science. Potential topics include, but are not limited
to:
-
Assumptions, foundations, and implications of
natural science
-
Criticism of science
-
Law of nature
-
Positivism and empiricism
-
Metaphysical, epistemological, and ethical issues
-
