Special issue on Inflammation in Retinal Disease

Retina is a light-sensitive layer of tissue lining the inner surface of the eye. The optics of the eye create an image of the visual world on the retina, which serves much the same function as the film in a camera. Light striking the retina initiates a cascade of chemical and electrical events that ultimately trigger nerve impulses. These are sent to various visual centres of the brain through the fibres of the optic nerve.

Retina is easily to be infected by pathogeny and cause retinal disease. Common inflammation in retinal diseases include choroiditis, chorioretinal inflammation and exudative retinitis. These diseases will affect people's eyesight and even lead blindness. In recent years, much more attentions are given to this field, diagnosis and treatment methods of inflammation in retinal disease developed fast, this special issue is aimed at providing researchers a platform to communicate the newest academic achievements in inflammation in retinal disease.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Inflammation in Retinal Disease.

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal  Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the Special Issue’’ under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue- Inflammation in Retinal Disease ” should be chosen during your submission.
