Special Issue on Biophotonics
Biophotonics is a combination of biology and photonics, with photonics being the science and technology of generation, manipulation and detection of photons and lights quantum units. As we know the importance of electrons today in the field of information technology, it is believed that photons also play a similar vital role in future information technology. Biophotonics has become the well-known broad term for all the techniques interrelated with biological items and photons. It refers to detection, reflection, emission, modification, absorption, and creation of radiation from cells, organisms, tissues, and biomaterials.
Biophotonics application areas are in medicine, life sciences, agriculture, and environmental science and many other techniques. It can be used to study biological materials or materials with properties similar to biological material.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Biophotonics.
Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Paper Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue’’ under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue —Biophotonics” should be chosen during your submission.
