Special Issue on Plant Reproduction

Plant Reproduction is the production of new individuals or offspring in plants, which can be accomplished by sexual or asexual reproduction. Sexual reproduction produces offspring by the fusion of gametes, resulting in offspring genetically different from the parent or parents. Asexual reproduction produces new individuals without the fusion of gametes, genetically identical to the parent plants and each other, except when mutations occur.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring plant reproduction. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Pollen
  • Double fertilization
  • The seed
  • The fruit
  • Pollination and pollinators
  • Selfing and outcrossing
  • Bryophyte reproductive systems
  • General features of asexual systems
  • Evolutionary significance of plant reproduction

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal at Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue – Plant Reproduction” should be selected during your submission.
