Special Issue on Pancreas and Liver Diseases
The pancreas is a long, flat gland that sits tucked behind the
stomach in the upper abdomen. It releases powerful digestive enzymes into our
small intestine to help us digest food. It also releases insulin and glucagon
into our bloodstream. These hormones help our body control how it uses food for
energy. The liver is responsible for many critical functions and should it
become diseased or damaged, the loss of those functions can cause significant
damage to the body. Signs and symptoms of liver disease include: jaundice,
swelling, chronic fatigue, nausea or vomiting, poor appetite and so on.
In this
special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit
original research and review articles on exploring Pancreas
and Liver Diseases. Potential topics include, but are not limited
to:

Authors
should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective

be selected during your submission.
