Special Issue on Protein Purification
This special issue on “Protein Purification” will be focusing on the latest development in protein purification. Protein purification is a series of processes intended to isolate a single type of protein from a complex mixture. The starting material of protein purification is usually a biological tissue or a microbial culture. The various steps in the purification process may free the protein from a matrix that confines it, separate the protein and non-protein parts of the mixture, and finally separate the desired protein from all other proteins. Methods of protein purification include ultracentrifugation, chromatography, HPLC, and so on. As one of the most important research fields of biology research, protein purification is of great attractions to researchers.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring protein purification. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-
Physico-chemical properties of protein
-
Binding affinity of protein
-
Peptide mass fingerprinting
-
Protein identity
-
Proteolysis
-
Metal binding protein
-
HPLC purification
Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal at Paper Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue’’ under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue - Protein Purification” should be chosen during your submission.
