Special Issue on Solid-state Physics

Solid-state Physics is the science of studying physical properties of solid materials, microstructure, and the movements and relations of particles which constitute matters. It is a branch of applied physics which is widely used and has rich contents, and it’s a combination of experimental, theoretical, and computational investigations in condensed matter materials. Solid-state physics is the basis of technical disciplines, such as microelectronics technology, optoelectronics technology, energy technology and materials science. The influence of its achievements and experimental methods on chemical physics, catalytic science and life science is increasing, and new cross fields are being formed. This special issue will be focusing on studying basic concepts of solid-state physics and discussing the practical applications in various fields.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring solid-state physics. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Strongly correlated materials
  • Quasicrystals
  • Spin glass
  • High-temperature superconductivity
  • Solid-state physics in materials science
  • Solid-state physics in the technology of transistors and semiconductors

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission, Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue – Solid-state Physics” should be chosen during your submission.

According to the following timetable:

Submission Deadline

February 27th, 2014

Publication Date
