Special Issue on Regional Climate Modeling:
Evaluation and Applications , Guest Editors: Prof. Pinhas Alpert and Prof. Rana Samuels
Provision of climate information for decision making, especially at the regional and local levels, requires a better understanding of the response of regional and local climate systems to global climate, and in turn their influence on the global system. Earth climate system models are the primary tools to predict future changes.
Now American Journal of Climate Change (AJCC) plans to launch a special issue on “Regional Climate Modeling (RCM): Evaluation and Applications”. We invite investigators to contribute to the special issue with original research articles, review articles, case studies, as well as book reviews. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-
Observations, modeling and analysis of regional climate
-
Very-high-resolution regional climate models
-
Challenges to RCM evaluation and application
-
RCM ensembles
-
Regional climate downscaling and observing systems and their associated uncertainties
-
Regional climate change impacts
-
Applications of regional climate information
-
Future directions for regional climate science
Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal at Paper Submission System according to the following timetable:
