Special Issue on Research on Coatings
A coating is a covering that is applied to the surface of an object, usually referred to as the substrate. In many cases coatings are applied to improve surface properties of the substrate, such as appearance, adhesion, wetability, corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and scratch resistance. Some new coatings formulated using nanotechnology promise to create long-term surface protection. In other cases, in particular in printing processes and semiconductor device fabrication, the coating forms an essential part of the finished product.
Coating and printing processes involve the application of a thin film of functional material to a substrate, such as paper, fabric, film, foil, or sheet stock. Coatings may be applied as liquids, gases or solids. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in the area of Research on Coatings.
In this special issue, we invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles that explore Research on Coatings. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not limited to:
Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal at Paper Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue’’ under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue - Research on Coatings” should be chosen during your submission.
