Special Issue on Catalytic Reaction and Catalyst Research

Catalyzed reactions are typically used to accelerate the rate by which a specific chemistry proceeds. Essentially, the action of the catalyst is to provide an alternative, lower energy pathway for the reaction.  For this to occur, the catalytic substance interacts with a reactant and forms an intermediate compound. This intermediate is transient in that after it forms, it breaks apart leaving the original catalyst species unchanged. A catalyst is not affected by the reaction as far as the chemical structure or mass at reaction completion. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in the area of catalytic reaction and catalyst research.

In this special issue, we invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles that explore catalytic reaction and catalyst research. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not limited to:

    • Heterogeneous catalyzed reaction
    • Homogeneous catalyzed reaction
    • Heterogeneous and surface catalysis
    • Catalytic mechanism
    • Catalytic reaction kinetics
    • Catalytic activity
    • Biocatalysis

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Catalytic Reaction and Catalyst Research” should be selected during your submission.
